Harvey County Sheriff’s Office has an opening for a Sheriff Deputy. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and a United States citizen who has never been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude. Applicant must demonstrate honesty and integrity by successfully completing pre employment polygraph and drug testing, and not subject to Giglio impeachment.
Applicants with current certification, KLETC or equivalent are preferred. Starting wage is $19.84 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Position requires working rotating 12 hour shifts. Uniforms and equipment are provided, paid holidays, KP&F retirement, and health insurance. Position will remain open until filled.
INTRO STATEMENT
Harvey County Sheriff's Office, located in the Wichita Metro area, has an opening for a Road Patrol Deputy. Preference will be given to KLETC Certified or equivalent (Reciprocity) to fill this opening.
Position requires working, rotating 12 hour shifts. Uniforms, take home vehicle and equipment are provided. Some additional benefits available are paid holidays, KP&F retirement, and health insurance.
SALARY
Starting wage is $19.84 per hour, negotiable based on previous experience and qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and a United States citizen who has never been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude. Applicant must demonstrate honesty and integrity by successfully completing pre-employment polygraph testing, and must not be subject to Giglio impeachment.
Must have a valid Kansas Driver's license or be able to obtain one prior to employment.
Applicant will also be required to pass a medical physical and physical agility testing.

Must live in or move to within a 30 minute legal drive time of the Harvey County, KS county line boundaries, within 6 months of employment.
