Certified and non-certified applicants are encouraged to apply. Qualified non-certified applicants will be hired as Police Officer I and sponsored by the City of Park City to attend the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC). Certified applicants will be considered for the position of Police Officer II, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
COMPENSATION
Police Officer II – Certified
Starting pay is based on applicable law enforcement experience and qualifications:
• $30.00 – $32.30/hour – 2 to 5 years of applicable experience
• $32.30 – $33.94/hour – 5 to 7 years of applicable experience
• $33.94 – $36.55/hour – 7 to 10+ years of applicable experience
Police Officer I – Non-Certified
Starting Pay: $26.63/hour
Additional starting pay incentives include:
• +2% for prior military experience
• +1% for an Associate’s degree
• +1% for a Bachelor’s degree
