The City of Newton is hiring seasonal mowers! Interested candidates must be at least 18 years old. This position works 40 hours per week. Wages start at $14.52 per hour and will increase each summer you return to work with us.
Under the immediate supervision of the Park Supervisor, the seasonal abatement mower performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor in maintenance and construction tasks in the city parks, right of ways, waterways, and abatement properties. Primary responsibilities include mowing, weed-eating, and edging all parks, cemeteries, and public property; mowing and maintaining abatement properties; performing playground maintenance; performing minor equipment maintenance.
