The City of Maize Public Works Department is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Maintenance Worker. This is a full-time, seasonal position available between May and September, with flexible start and end dates based on candidate availability.
Responsibilities:
-Perform a variety of unskilled labor tasks as assigned
-Assist with grounds maintenance across all City properties
-Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and efficiently
-Promote the goodwill of the City through quality service and teamwork
-Follow safety protocols and complete other duties as assigned
Skills:
-Ability to perform manual labor in a variety of conditions
-Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
-Ability to lift and carry up to 90 pounds
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
-Ability to be punctual and maintain regular attendance
Education and Experience:
-High School graduate or equivalent
-At least 18 years old upon hire date.
-Valid Driver's License upon date of hire and ability to maintain insurability with the City.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
