 POSITION SUMMARY

The Clubhouse Attendant will maintain the clubhouse facilities, operate the cash register, stock inventory, and provide customer service.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·         During tournaments, assist with preparing the clubhouse and course.

·         Help maintain the clubhouse equipment.

·         Assist customers with questions and help when needed.

·         Operating the cash register, taking tee times, booking tournaments, and assisting with leagues.

·         Organizing inventory and performing inventory checks in order to maintain proper inventory levels.

·         Stocking all pro-shop items, and all food and beverage items including beer and liquor.

·         Cleaning all areas of the clubhouse.

·         Ensures compliance with all Kansas Liquor laws.

·         Tracking time of play of all players and making sure all players respect the course and others.

·         Inspect all golf carts when they are returned and note any damage.

·         Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion when handling sensitive information or topics.

 MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

·     Sweep and clean the patio and cart staging areas.

·     Pick up trash on the course, around the clubhouse, and cart shed area.

·     Pull out carts and ensure they are ready for use.

·     Wash and clean golf carts.

·     Performs other duties as deemed necessary or assigned by supervisory personnel.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

·         Experience: Preferably one year of similar or related experience, but is not required.

·         Education:  A high school diploma or tested equivalent is required. Valid drivers license is required.

·         Physical Requirements: Manual labor including lifting and carrying heavy objects, bending, kneeling, climbing, and the ability to operate department equipment is required daily in this position. Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds. Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment physical testing specific to the position.

 QUALIFICATIONS

The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time in order to successfully perform the assigned duties:

 Knowledge of:

·         Cash counting and operating a cash register

·         Kansas liquor laws

Ability to:

·         Treat all customers in a respectful manner

·         Manage inventory

·         Responsibly operate golf carts

Skilled in:

·         Problem solving and decision making

·         Public relations, customer service, and oral and written communications

 WORKING CONDITIONS

·         Environment: Limited adverse working conditions exist within this position. Exposure to hazardous chemicals, heavy machinery, excessive noise, working in confined areas, heights, and adverse weather is possible.

·         Supervision: This position is supervised by the Golf Course Superintendent.

·         Financial Accountability: This employee is responsible for the safe operation of department equipment.
