Minimum
education/experience required: Applicants
must have a high school diploma and background in law enforcement. Significant experience in law enforcement is
required. It is anticipated that the
investigator will have previously been commissioned as a law enforcement
officer. Registration as a part time
officer through KS-Cpost is preferred.
Anticipated workload would be 19 hours per week with about half in the
office and half out of the office. Must
have a valid driver’s license and private automobile.
Position
involves locating and interviewing witnesses, investigating reports of vehicles
having out of state registrations when the vehicle should be registered in
Kansas; investigating possible violations of Kansas Open Meeting Law; and other
special investigations as assigned by the County Attorney.
