Apprentice Lineman - City of Coffeyville

The City of Coffeyville is seeking applications for the position of Apprentice Electric Lineman (1st year – 3rd year). $25.00-$35.71/hour, dependent upon qualifications, plus excellent benefit package. Position duties include: assist in construction, maintenance and repair of electrical distribution/transmission lines; respond to power outages and electrical problems, operate equipment needed for maintaining and repairing electrical distribution/transmission lines. Must be able to climb, work at heights, ability to lift up to 75% and work in extreme outdoor conditions. Must have self-motivation to complete classroom and on-the-job training required to complete the 3 ½ year apprenticeship program.

CDL license or ability to obtain is required. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be willing to meet the City of Coffeyville residency requirement of residing within 50 miles of City Hall, at 102 W. 7th St. Applications accepted until position filled. EOE
